About Mahafa

MAHAFA IS a grassroots organization established to provide much needed medical care to the indigents of the Ibo tribe in Nigeria who cannot afford to help themselves.

The organization actively addresses and works on issues of health care; dealing with diseases such as hypertension, malaria, typhoid, insomnia, arthritic and chronic debilitating pain while providing education on prevention of many tropical diseases.

MAHAFA Organization (formerly known as AfricareMeds) was founded by Chief Deacon Richard Chibuna Anyanwu and his wife Lolo Gertrude Adanma Anyanwu in 2002.

"MAHAFA exists to promote better life for the Ibo tribe in Nigeria. The organization actively addresses and works on issues of health care and disease prevention. The Ibo people of Nigeria have suffered tremendously from Nigerian civil war to governments that cares less about their own people. The unfortunate thing is that the money and goods raised by the bigger nonprofit organizations in the western world does not reach the poor masses it was intended for. In contrast, all money and goods raised by MAHAFA formerly known as MAHAFA (Formerly known as AfricareMeds) reaches their intended beneficiaries. For this organization to be successful, it will need the assistance of all the good people of America and beyond to help provide this vital service to those less fortunate".
